Welcome to Manhole Notebook. By using our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Using the Service

Manhole Notebook is a mobile app for collecting and tracking Japanese manhole cards. You may use the service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

The app includes features such as card news alerts, saved pins for trip planning, and the ability to report card information issues.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If you are under 18, you should have parental consent.

2. Your Account

To use certain features, you need to create an account. You are responsible for:

Keeping your account credentials secure
All activity that occurs under your account
Providing accurate information

3. User Content

You may post content such as collection notes, posts, and captions. By posting content, you:

Retain ownership of your content
Grant us a license to display it within the app
Are responsible for ensuring it doesn't violate these terms

4. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

Use the app for illegal purposes
Harass, abuse, or harm other users
Post offensive, hateful, or inappropriate content
Attempt to access other users' accounts
Interfere with the app's operation
Scrape or collect data without permission
Use automated systems or bots

5. Purchases and Subscriptions

The app offers a "Pro" subscription that unlocks additional features including unlimited collection tracking, card news alerts, profile customization, and social features. Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or yearly) and automatically renew unless cancelled.

All purchases are processed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's terms. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

            Refunds: Refund requests must be made through Apple. We cannot process refunds directly.
        

6. Card Data

The manhole card data in the app is collected from public sources. We strive for accuracy but cannot guarantee that all information is correct or up-to-date. Card availability and distribution locations may change without notice.

7. Intellectual Property

The app, its design, and original content are owned by us. Manhole card images and designs are property of their respective municipalities and the GKP (Gesuido Koho Platform).

8. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

Continuous, uninterrupted access
Accuracy of card data or distribution information
That the app will meet your specific needs

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

10. Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Tokyo, Japan.
